Dzisiaj zrobiłem remanent w moich erpegowych posiadłościach. Wziąłem w obroty pokaźny segregator i wypatroszyłem go tak, że zostało tylko kilka koszulek.

Założenia, jak zwykle, były ambitne. Wiedziałem, na co mogę się natknąć w segregatorze erpegowym. Bałem się tego, ale uznałem, że początek nowego roku, jak żaden inny okres sprzyja podsumowaniom. Przystąpiłem do roboty. Tak jak się spodziewałem, 80% segregatora stanowiły karty postaci do D&D. Wypełnione oczywiście. Moje postacie z sesji, postacie znajomych, wstępne niedokończone szkice - to wszystko powstało w ciągu pięciu lat erpegowania. Wśród tego nawału kart zdarzały się również postacie do nwoda albo Cthulhu, nie mniej jednak, to właśnie D&D stanowiło miażdżącą większość. Nie ma jednak co się dziwić - w czasie mojej erpegowej kariery w D&D grałem więcej niż w cokolwiek innego. Nwoda i Cthulhu głównie prowadziłem - a i to dopiero ze dwa lata chyba.

Pierwszy pomysł, jaki wpadł do głowy, to (oczywiście oprócz uporządkowania tego syfu) wyłowienie z tego nawału kart postaci kilku-kilkunastu ciekawszych i przygotowanie na ich podstawie enpeców do opublikowania na forum albo chociaż używania w moich własnych sesjach. Zaczęło się gorączkowe przeglądanie kartek, przeglądanie folderów na komputerze i archiwum poczty. Rezultaty tego były smutne. Właściwie do 90% postaci miałem tylko mechanikę i bardzo mgliste wspomnienie o tym, w jakiej sesji dany bohater uczestniczył. Właściwie nawet się nie dziwię - grywałem zwykle u mistrzów, którym wystarczyło posłuchać jak opowiadam kilka słów o historii postaci, niewielu musiałem coś pisać, a gdy wystarczyło tylko opowiadanie słowne, jakoś nie było motywacji na spisywanie tego potem. Tak samo zabrakło samozaparcia, by oprócz kilku słów kluczowych, które po latach traciły sens, robić jakiekolwiek notatki z sesji. Wynikiem tego wszystkiego było stanięcie przed stosikiem wypełnionych starannie kart postaci, które w tej chwili były dla mnie tylko kartkami papieru z tajemniczymi zapiskami przynoszącymi na myśl mgliste echa z przeszłości. Pozostawało tylko jedno rozwiązanie - archiwizować albo wywalić wszystko w cholerę. Ale po co archiwizować karty postaci? Wywaliłem wszystko jak leci. Nawet te postacie z fabułą były zbyt nijakie/niedoświadczone albo miały zbyt naiwną historię by je jako wykorzystać ponownie. A nie ma sensu trzymać kart tylko dla mechaniki - tą przecież można napisać w 5 minut bez specjalnego wysiłku w przypadku postaci niskopoziomowej - a głównie takie się zdarzały.

Jaki z tego wszystkiego jest morał? Ano taki, aby robić notatki z sesji, pisać sprawozdania i historie postaci. Bo potem okaże się, że to co najlepiej pamiętamy z sesji, to kłótnie i kfiatki. A spisane na papierze dzieje naszego bohatera dają nam gwarancję, że jego pamięć przetrwa u nas dłużej.

Ale ale - to jeszcze nie koniec

Znalazłem również kilka opasłych koszulek z moimi notatkami do sesji, schematami scenariuszy i postaciami, które brały w nich udział. Z tego może coś być :)

Oj znam to z autopsji. Nie wiem jak u Ciebie, jednakże osobiście robię takie porządki co rok (conjamniej) ale ja niestety jestem bardziej roztrzepany, co przekłada się na to, że muszę przeszukiwać całe mieszkanie za kartami =] Drugą rzeczą, która nas różni to to, że ja archiwizuję i zbieram makulaturę =] Lubię popatrzeć na starsze karty postaci, które co prawda posiadają tylko mechanikę, jednakże zobaczyć jak moja wiedza na temat DnD zmieniała się na przestrzeni tych… 8 lat kiedy znam ten system =] No i na koniec, niestety muszę Ci przyznać rację. Brak notatek jakichkolwiek z postaci daje to odniesienie, że nie wiem nic o swoich postaciach, nie widzę w nich życia, niczego. Ale zawsze jest nadzieja na lepsze jutro, czyż nie? Pozdrawiam. Mam nadzieję, że nie masz nic przeciwko, że wrzuciłem jakiegoś commenta =]
